Spotify
Inspired by Spotify’s mission “to help people listen to whatever music they want, whenever they want, wherever they want,” and by exploring Spotify’s values. It was clear that Spotify is a collaborative company, heavily rooted in innovation, trust, and passion, with a playful spirit. While in the School of Visual Arts’ Masters of Branding program, my team and I developed a strategy and creative to assist Spotify with their mission.
Our Challenge
To investigate what it takes to help Spotify expand into the healthcare market, while creating meaningful partnerships with existing and new users.
Music Therapy Insight
Research shows multiple studies have linked music to healthcare as the next big thing for this industry via the use of music therapy. Also, the demand for music therapists is expected to go up this year – with a growth of 12%.
Music Therapy Audiences
Autistic Children
Music Therapy helps young children with autism to develop empathy by imagining the emotional state of the person is who is making the music.
Group Therapy
Music therapy is also used for community building and healing through group sessions - which provide an outlet for feelings and encourage relaxation.
Elderly Diseases
It can also help with health problems that come with age. Music therapy is used to help to evoke memories, reduce agitation and assist communication.
